Tomorrow (6th October 2018) sees Tros an Treys travelling up from Penzance to Bodmin to participate in this year’s Fun Palaces events at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and Cornwall’s Regimental Museum.
The Fun Palaces campaign promotes culture at the heart of community and community at the heart of culture.
The weekend of action uses the combination of arts, craft, science, tech, digital, heritage and sports activities, led by local people for local people, sharing their own passions and skills, as a catalyst for community-led transformation, with active participation for all ages.
We love the description from Cornwall’s Regimental Museum about their events tomorrow:
Come along and make the building sing with the clamour of feet. Take part in Cornish dancing with the fantastic Tros an Treys, and help them celebrate their 10th birthday (we’ll bring the cake!). Relive your childhood on a big scale and take back the street, with fun and games…and croquet on the lawn!
Unfortunately the weather forecast isn’t that great, so we’re putting our wet weather plan into action. There are station canopies at Bodmin Parkway and Bodmin General stations – enough to shelter dancers and keep our instruments dry, and plenty of indoor space at Cornwall’s Regimental Museum.
Come and find us, and why not join in?
