Preparing for Lowender Peran

Today Tros an Treys met for our usual Sunday afternoon practice at the Coach House in Penzance. We went through our set list of Cornish tunes and dances for Lowender Peran, Cornwall’s international Celtic music and dance festival. This year, 2018, the festival runs from 31st October- 3rd November and is held at the Hotel Bristol, Newquay.

We have chosen 5 dances to perform in our 15 minute slot on the Sunday afternoon of the festival. The accompanying tunes are lively and some aren’t heard very often. The band will be playing tunes from the 1790s and 1990s – all beautiful and lively numbers.

It’s Lowender Peran’s 40th birthday this year and we’re proud to be involved. We’re going to give it our all!
